Our goal at Bluegrass Montessori School is to provide a carefully prepared environment that is stimulating and will assist students to acquire the skills needed for lifelong learning. The teachers act as "guides" to awaken the child's spirit and imagination; to encourage his desire for independence and high sense of self-esteem; to help him develop the kindness, curiosity, and self-discipline that will allow him to become a full member of society; and to help the child learn how to observe, question, and explore ideas independently and gain a "love of learning". BMS, is such a special place. Both my kids went here and I cannot express my gratitude towards their learning and growth enough. The student led learning method is just so profound and inspiring to watch. Not only is the curriculum and environment peaceful and instructional but the excitement they have when they are learning is precious. The incorporation of music, art, dance, history, geography, reading, math, science and nature is beyond what I would expect for this age group, as is the self care and independence. I love when my daughter reads me her books, and sings the songs she learned at school and how showing me she can put her shoes on by herself. For this age group this school is beyond my expectations. Lastly, the teachers are amazing. They send photos of your kids and their achievements, celebrate their birthdays, encourage them in their challenges and just so patient and kind to the kids, I couldnt ask for anything better. If I could I would give them 1000 stars! ⭐️

Bluegrass Montessori in Lexington is indeed a highly regarded school, especially for young children. Montessori schools are known for their child-centered approach to education, focusing on fostering independence, creativity, and a love of learning. This can be especially beneficial as it allows them to explore at their own pace and develop a strong foundation for future learning.
I see a great difference in my child.
