Bardstown Head Start

Bardstown Head Start, founded in 1987, provides child care and early education for children aged six weeks to five years old in Bardstown, KY, and surrounding areas. Run by the Central Kentucky Community Action Council, the center's focus is on preparing children for further education, focusing on cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Their mission is to deliver quality education for children and families to be school ready while engaging partnerships. They use developmentally appropriate activities to engage students, preparing them for Kindergarten with a daily routine composed of play-based exercises, motor skills, literacy, and math concepts.
