About
Hi! My name is Anais. I'm a social work graduate student and lifelong caretaker of children. I'm glad to have the opportunity to meet your family :)
I have always loved taking care of kids. The second of four, I grew up caring for my younger brothers and began babysitting in high school. I have since worked as a camp counselor and babysitter for many years. I love giving kids a safe space to share their light with the world!
I'm currently studying to get my MSW at the Brown School of Social Work at WashU. I at the St. Louis County Domestic Violence Court as a bilingual survivor advocate, and babysit and tutor in my free time. I have 6 years of experience as a math, Spanish, and English tutor as well, and happy to work with your kiddos on their school work! I am fluent in Spanish and am happy to communicate bilingually with your family if desired.
It would bring me so much joy to get to know your family and learn how I can support you. I recognize that different kids have different needs, and it's really important to me to talk to parents about their children's needs. I want your kiddos to feel safe, loved, and taken care of. I believe in kind, empathetic care and structure so all children can thrive.
I have plenty of experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care, but I also love to have fun! I enjoy playing games with kids, art, cooking, playing outside, adventures in the park, and anything else that brings your kids joy! I am comfortable with pets and grew up with multiple cats and dogs. I'm comfortable cooking a variety of meals from different regions of the word.
I do not have my own vehicle, but I have a driver's license and I have been driving for about 5 years. I'm comfortable with city driving as I grew up near Washington, DC. I've lived in St. Louis for the past four years and plan to stay for a while longer.
Running a family is certainly hard work, and I would love to help you take care of your kiddos :) Feel free to reach out at 703-969-5745 or [email protected] if you're interested in chatting! I hope you have a wonderful day.
