About
Founded in 2006, Children of Promise, NYC is dedicated to supporting children and families impacted by mass incarceration in Brooklyn and surrounding New York areas. As a community-centered organization, they aim to break the cycle of intergenerational involvement in the criminal justice system. They provide a variety of services including tutoring, creative projects, computer labs, and sports. This women-owned organization is recognized as the first and only after-school program and summer day camp designed specifically for children of incarcerated parents, helping them lead healthy and productive lives.
