Twelve years in business, The Gardner Preparatory School II, located in Lancaster, Texas, provides an academic-based childcare program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarten, and first grade. The school capitalizes on children's natural curiosity to teach math, language arts, cultural studies, and science. During the school year, we have added an Outdoor and S.T.E.A.M. (Science Technology Engineering Arts Math). Additionally, learning numbers, colors, how to read, sing songs, and potty training are part of the curriculum. We also offer a Before and After care program for school-age children up to age 12, ensuring an inclusive learning environment for all abilities.

What I loved most about working at The Gardner Preparatory School II was the opportunity to support young learners—especially those on the autism spectrum—through a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment. As a Pre-K2 teacher focused on STEM and behavior support, I appreciated how the school encouraged hands-on, exploratory learning while also prioritizing social-emotional development. I was able to implement sensory-friendly STEM activities that helped students build foundational skills in science and math while also supporting communication and self-regulation. The administration was incredibly supportive of individualized learning plans and behavioral strategies, which made it possible to meet each child where they were and celebrate their progress. It was rewarding to watch our students thrive, gain confidence, and develop a love for learning.
