Hi! I am Angie, the owner and teacher for the school. The School of Thought is a dream fulfilled. I am an experienced homeschool mom as well as a Texas certified public and private school teacher. I have a degree in Sociology and an Alternative Certification in Education with emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction. The Health and Human Services of Texas has issued me a license for my home to have a child care business.

I love my home and am excited to share it with little ones daily. I enjoy creating engaging lessons that teach children in a methodical and developmentally appropriate way. Many different philosophies on child development influence my ideas such as those by Jean Piaget, Maria Montessori, Dr. Raymond Moore, and Charlotte Mason. I believe it is important for children to have not only structured, but also unstructured time to create and explore. So many fascinating opportunities are awaiting them and we want to explore as many of them as possible!
