Ms. Chelle’s Little Schoolhouse, LLC is a preschool in Anchorage, AK that provides developmentally appropriate, play-based learning to build social, emotional, and early academic readiness. The program centers on hands-on activities that make learning engaging and support a smooth transition to kindergarten in a safe, welcoming environment.
The school is led by Director Richelle Jamison (“Ms. Chelle”), an educator with more than 20 years of experience teaching preschool through second grade. Her credentials include degrees in Early Elementary Education and School Administration, along with training in Positive Discipline, The Leader in Me, and The Zones of Regulation. She also holds a Science of Reading endorsement under the Alaska Reads Act, reinforcing a strong emphasis on early literacy.
Ms. Chelle’s Little Schoolhouse began as an in-home preschool created to support childcare and kindergarten preparation needs for local families and expanded into a dedicated schoolhouse as demand grew. The program maintains a warm, home-like atmosphere while prioritizing child development, early literacy, character-building, and individualized attention through structured, play-based activities.
