Goodwill Gulf Coast’s Child Development Center in Mobile, Alabama, provides inclusive child care and early childhood education for children of all abilities from approximately 2.5 years to preschool age. Located at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, the program maintains small child-to-staff ratios and emphasizes kindergarten readiness through activities that build cognitive development, early literacy, creative expression, and social-emotional skills.
The center partners with Mobile County Public Schools’ Special Education preschool department to support children who may have developmental, communication, sensory, or social-emotional needs, and it serves families seeking evaluation or support when milestones are not being met. Parent Education and Support Programs are offered with funding from the Alabama Children’s Trust Fund.
The Child Development Center holds an Alabama Quality STARS rating, recognizing quality in staff qualifications and professional development, management and administrative practices, learning environment and curriculum, and family and community partnerships. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Families may request information or join the waitlist.
