About
The Early Learning Center at the East Valley JCC in Chandler, AZ, has served local families since 1971 as a preschool and childcare program for infants through kindergarten. The center is NECPA accredited and holds a 5-Star rating from Arizona’s Quality First program.
Programs include Infants (6 weeks–14 months), Toddlers (15–24 months), Preschool (2–3 years), Pre-K (4 years), and Kindergarten (5 years), plus enrichment, seasonal camps, and a flexible J-Flex Time schedule. A play-based curriculum aligned to Arizona early learning standards emphasizes language, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional growth. Classes operate below state-mandated ratios and are led by degreed educators. Offerings include second-language exposure in Twos through Kindergarten, S.T.E.A.M. and pre-reading/writing in Threes and Pre-K, and activities such as soccer, dance, karate, and music.
Facilities feature age-specific indoor and outdoor play areas, large gross-motor rooms, and a dance studio. Safety measures include access-controlled entrances, secure fencing, security cameras, a dedicated guard, CPR-trained staff, and daily professional cleaning.
Rooted in values and traditions, the center welcomes families of all backgrounds. Children may participate in cultural practices including weekly challah on Shabbat and chef-prepared kosher lunches available three days per week.
The program is led by Director Pam Morris, who holds a BS in Psychology, an MSEd in Early Childhood Education, and a Director’s Credential, and has served the East Valley JCC community since 2001.
