THE HUMMINGBIRDS Family Home Daycare was founded in 1999 by Mary Haas who ran the daycare alongside assistant Adela Sandino for 8 years. In 2007, Adela fulfilled a lifelong dream and purchased the business when Mary announced her retirement.
The Hummingbirds provides a nurturing environment, emphasizing learning through play. Our comfortable home setting provides children with a secure place to enjoy some of their first group play and learning experiences.

The owner, Adela, is a one of a kind caregiver that has provided care for both of our kids. We loved her energy, compassion and communication, oh and her ability to get our kids to nap. Our kids built amazing relationships with her and the other children at the daycare.

Our two children went to The Hummingbirds from 18 months to three years and had the most wonderful experience. Adela is wonderful with the kids, an excellent communicator and keeps a very safe space for children to develop. Our kids were loved and well prepared for the next stage of their care in preschool. Couldn’t recommend Adela and The Hummingbirds more.

Adela is the best! She interacts with the kids all day, plans fun activities, and lets them explore. The environment is stimulating and safe. She feeds them healthy snacks and lunch (I love not having to pack food). Weve sent both our kids there over the last few years.
