About
Primeros Pasos, founded in 2013 in San Francisco, provides Spanish immersion childcare, preschool, and PreK for children ages 3 months to 5+ across two campuses—Silver Park and Noe Valley—with a total enrollment of 112. The year-round, full-day program is fully licensed by the State of California and is play-based and child-centered, grounded in PITC principles and influenced by Piaget, Vygotsky, and the Stanford Bing Nursery School. Educators are native Spanish speakers with low child-to-teacher ratios, current certifications in pediatric CPR, First Aid, and Health and Safety, and cleared state background checks. Children learn through hands-on exploration, art, music, and outdoor play; healthy snacks are provided.
Silver Park (901 Bayshore Blvd.) enrolls 72 children across four classrooms: Infants (3–24 months), Young Preschool (2–~3.3 years), Preschool (~3.3–~4.3 years), and PreK (4.3+). The 7,100 sq. ft. campus includes a 2,000+ sq. ft. indoor gross motor room with a climbing wall, a 30-foot sandbox, bikes, and a private outdoor yard, and offers a 174-foot white zone for safe drop-off with nearby transit options.
Noe Valley (1270 Sanchez Street) enrolls 40 children across three classrooms: 18–30 months, 2.5–4 years, and 3.5–5+. Classrooms open to an outdoor patio and feature high ceilings, abundant natural light, and a sensory room on pedestrian-friendly Slow Sanchez Street. Primeros Pasos also organizes SF Preschool Night, San Francisco’s largest preschool fair.
