LHUC has values that are similar to ours and it was important that our son be here to build his foundation with these values. Also, they prioritize education as well as kids learning how to play and get along with each other while keeping to a consistent routine the kids could rely on.

Denise and Doug cared for our son with an extraordinary level of love and attention, as if he were their own. Denise was always thoughtful about his individual needs, particularly managing his eczema and nut allergy, with a mix of diligence and genuine warmth. Beyond caregiving, she played a key role in his early development, teaching him so much and helping him grow emotionally and socially.

We were truly sad to leave, knowing how rare it is to find someone who brings both heart and skill to this kind of work. If you’re considering this daycare, I wouldn’t hesitate. Your child will be in kind, capable hands.

My son was in her care from 5 months old until he transitioned to kindergarten at age 5. During those formative years, Denise played an integral role in his social, emotional, and cognitive development. She truly sees each child as an individual and supports their unique growth with intention, patience, and love.

By the time my son entered a formal school setting, he was more than ready—both academically and emotionally. He adjusted with confidence, and I credit much of that to the strong foundation he received at Little Hearts United.

Little Hearts United a sanctuary home based care center and I’m so grateful that Denise was my child’s first experience in being cared for away from home when I transitioned back to work. The care and love that LHUC has for children is evident in the details of how it’s decorated with educational tools all over- it’s really like a little preschool at home! And Denise’s skills and training and attentiveness was for me as a first time mom having a trusted partner who really ‘saw’ my child and understood my values as a parent and was able to teach the social emotional and play skills that kids at this age need. Denise is a kind and caring teacher. We appreciated the structure and early development of literacy. She included science exploration, imaginative play and outdoor play on most days. Denise is easy to communicate with. The daycare is very clean and safe.
