About
FUMC Co-Op Preschool in Fort Collins, Colorado, has served local families since 1965 with a cooperative, Reggio-inspired, play-based program that supports children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through exploration, creativity, and discovery. As a cooperative preschool, parents participate in the classroom and learning process, helping build a strong school community.
The preschool offers multiple class options, including 3’s Preschool and 4’s Pre-K, along with Lunch Bunch, Enrichments, and Classroom Community Days. It participates in the Universal Pre-K (UPK) program. Instruction is not religious; the program is grounded in the values of First United Methodist Church—love, acceptance, justice, and hope—and includes a gratitude-focused grace before meals. Classrooms incorporate Christmas while honoring other traditions celebrated that time of year.
Located at 1005 Stover St. in Fort Collins, the preschool operates during the school year Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with summer administrative hours Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Families may view a video tour of the classrooms or request an in-person visit. FUMC Co-Op Preschool is an outreach program of First United Methodist Church Fort Collins and welcomes families regardless of church affiliation.
