About
Little People’s Landing (Fort Collins) provides licensed childcare and early education for children 6 weeks to 12 years old in Fort Collins, CO. Part of the Early Learning Academies network, the organization has supported families for nearly 40 years. The Fort Collins center operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.
The play-based curriculum emphasizes curiosity, exploration, and discovery while using developmentally appropriate materials and hands-on activities to build independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Instruction supports the whole child—social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development—and prepares children for elementary school. Outdoor play is an integral part of the program.
Safety and quality are core priorities. Teachers are selected for early childhood education experience, hold First Aid and CPR certifications, and complete state background checks along with ongoing training. The center uses secure sign-in/out technology, monitored entrances with passcodes or QR codes, and conducts regular emergency preparedness drills. Key staff are certified to administer medications, and strict policies govern staff conduct.
Family engagement and convenience complement classroom learning, with events such as luaus, BBQs, carnivals, and ice cream socials, plus in-school haircuts, Stretch-n-Grow exercise, options for swimming, dance, and sports lessons, and Parent’s Night Out babysitting and holiday shopping days.
