Little Explorers Academy

Little Explorers Academy is a preschool and childcare center serving families in Westchester (Miami), Florida. The school offers preschool, VPK, daycare, infant care, and toddler classes in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment designed to help children grow, learn, and thrive.

The program is play-based and Reggio Emilia–inspired, emphasizing collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and confidence. Classrooms feature learning centers with materials that are rotated by teachers to promote choice, problem-solving, discovery, and small-group work driven by children’s interests. The school incorporates The Creative Curriculum, a whole-child approach that is responsive to each child’s understandings, interests, and abilities.

Little Explorers Academy is owned by Anita & Rene Arguello. Anita is a Miami-Dade County public school teacher with more than 20 years of experience and currently teaches kindergarten, training the academy’s teachers to prepare children for kindergarten. Rene brings 30 years of experience in customer satisfaction. The school’s director, Amanda Oyarzun, is a former public school teacher of eight years with a bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a master’s in Early Childhood Education and Development, and she is passionate about learning through play and nature.
