Montessori Community School is an independent, non-sectarian Montessori preschool and elementary school in the Makiki area of Honolulu, HI. For more than 50 years, it has served children ages 2 to 12 (toddler through 6th grade) with programs including a two-year-old class, preschool (ages 3–4), kindergarten (age 5), elementary (1st–6th grade), and summer offerings. Accredited by the American Montessori Society and the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools, the school uses hands-on, self-directed learning in mixed-age classrooms and emphasizes multi-year teacher relationships. Individualized learning plans allow students to progress at their own pace while building independence, critical thinking, and social responsibility.
