About
The Toddler Program is a non-profit, Christian-valued early education preschool in the Kaimuki neighborhood of Honolulu, HI, serving children ages 2–5 and welcoming families of all faiths. It provides a secure, nurturing learning environment with individualized attention and close collaboration among staff, students, and parents. The program accepts children as young as two, including those who are not yet potty trained.
Its philosophy centers on hands-on, play-based learning guided by teachers who understand early childhood developmental needs. A rich, literature-based curriculum is complemented by frequent walking excursions in the community, field trips, interactive social-skill development, and varied physical activities. Enrichment classes in Music, Mandarin, and movement are part of the Monday schedule.
Class groupings include Sunshine Bears (2 years), Aloha Bears (3 years), Friendship Bears (4 years), and Honey Bears (Junior Kindergarten, 5 years). Typical daily schedules include core program hours from 8:15 am to 2:30 pm, with an Enrichment program from 3:00 pm to 5:15 pm; office hours run 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, and the campus is generally open from 7:00 am to 5:15 pm.
The Toddler Program focuses on developing social, cognitive, and character skills, encouraging independence and problem solving through exploratory play in a supportive community.
