Shining Bright Learning Center

Shining Bright Learning Center, founded in 2023 in Pleasant Hill, IA, is a Christian daycare and early childhood education center serving families in Pleasant Hill, Altoona, and the greater Des Moines area. The center provides full-day and part-time care for children 6 weeks through Pre-Kindergarten, organized into four age groups: Infants (6 weeks–18 months), Early Preschool (18 months–2 years), Preschool (3s and early 4s), and Pre-K (entering kindergarten in the fall). Open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the program prepares children for kindergarten through daily learning in literacy, math, science, creative expression, physical fitness, and character development. Bible teaching is integrated using Orange Curriculum in Preschool and Grow Curriculum in Pre-K. Staffed by professional Christian teachers trained in early childhood development, the center maintains low teacher-to-student ratios; all staff are background checked and certified in CPR/First Aid.
