Sunrise’s Heavenly Sent Preschool & Residential Care Facility in Kansas City, MO has provided year-round early childhood education since 2008. Established by Sunrise Christian Assembly, the center serves children roughly ages 2 through pre‑K with a curriculum that supports cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through structured lessons, play, and exploration. Classrooms and play areas feature age‑appropriate materials, and the program integrates residential care services when needed.
As of January 2025, the center offers an expanded suite of childcare options to accommodate varied schedules: afterschool care with supervision and homework assistance until 9 pm; overnight care; weekend care; Parent Night Out; 24‑hour care; drop‑in care available 24 hours Monday–Saturday (closed Sundays); and emergency care stays for mothers and children in specifically furnished rooms.
The Director, Mr. Bakari, has 25+ years of teaching experience and over 15 years as a preschool director. The Assistant Director, Mrs. Bakari, brings 15+ years of experience in preschool administration and classroom management. All staff have at least three years of childcare experience, pass comprehensive background checks, maintain CPR/AED certification, are registered with the Missouri Child Care Registry (MOPID), and complete an internal competency screening.
