About
Tree House Learning Center, founded in 2003 in Wichita, KS, provides early childhood education and childcare for children from 2 weeks to 12 years. The organization operates two West Wichita centers at 449 N Maize Rd and 331 S Tyler Rd, offering age-specific programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, pre-kindergarteners, and school-age children. School-age services include care up to age 12 and transportation to and from Goddard and Peterson schools.
The program is licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, with annual inspections. Security measures include a secured, code-access front door and classroom security cameras with parent viewing access. Classrooms are fully enclosed and include child-accessible restrooms. Potty training is introduced around age 2 based on each child’s readiness, and the pre-kindergarten program serves the year before kindergarten.
Lead teachers hold early childhood education degrees or comparable experience. Staff maintain TB tests, current CPR and First Aid certifications, and ongoing training in child development, health, safety, and emergency preparedness. The program is non-denominational and emphasizes developmentally appropriate curriculum and strong family partnerships.
The Maize Center is directed by Mandy Kupper, and the Tyler Center is directed by Katie Henry.
