West YMCA, part of the Greater Wichita YMCA, serves Wichita, KS with comprehensive health, fitness, aquatics, youth development, and family programs. Offerings include group exercise classes, personal training, sports performance training, and virtual/streaming options, along with specialized programs such as LIVESTRONG and Parkinson’s support. Aquatics services cover swim lessons, drowning-prevention education, lifeguard certification, and access to water parks. Youth and adult sports span basketball, volleyball, soccer, dance, gymnastics, pickleball, racquetball, and martial arts.
The Y provides licensed child care and camps, including infant, toddler, and preschool care; before- and after-school programs; school-day-out and break camps; middle school after-school; and summer camp, plus camp facility rentals. Through partnerships with Wichita Public Schools (USD259), Greater Wichita YMCA Child Development Centers operate in area high schools. Income-based financial assistance is available for qualifying families, and all child care programs are contracted with DCF.
Additional family services include birthday parties, Kid Zone, Mom’s Day Out, Parent’s Night Out, teen activities, teen fitness, late-night events, and job preparation.
