About
Pepperhill Farm, based in Lexington, KY, has provided preschool, after-school, and summer day camp programs since 1964. Founded by Don and Barbara Stephens as Pepperhill Day School, it is a family-centered program serving Central Kentucky. The preschool and after-school program operate in Lexington, and the summer day camp is held on a nearby farm setting in Nicholasville.
The Summer Day Camp runs three 3-week sessions and groups campers by age: Kinder Camp (ages 2–5), Junior Camp (6–8), Senior Camp (9–11), and Grad Camp (12–14). Programming blends teacher-led and child-chosen activities that support decision-making and responsibility. Camp traditions include horseback riding, sing-alongs, water games, arts and crafts, and special events such as Family Night, Camp Sing, Camp Out, Campfires, Olympic Week, School Spirit Week, and a Talent Show. The camp is intentionally phone-free.
Across all programs, Pepperhill Farm emphasizes safety, consistency, and core values including kindness, integrity, responsibility, confidence, compassion, and respect for animals and the environment.
