Learning for Life Education is a private early education program in Louisville, KY serving children ages 3 through third grade. The preschool (ages 3–5) prepares children for kindergarten with a whole-child curriculum aligned to NAEYC standards, blending teacher-directed and child-initiated, hands-on learning with influences from Montessori, Reggio, Waldorf, and traditional approaches. Instruction emphasizes nature, the arts, emergent Spanish, self-help skills, and social-emotional development.
Classes are limited to 10 students for individualized attention. Children are assessed three times per year, and families receive digital portfolios through Lillio. Typical preschool schedules offer morning (9:00–11:30 a.m.) or afternoon (12:30–3:00 p.m.) sessions two or three days per week, plus a Preschool Club on Wednesdays. The school year runs August–May, with a summer camp for ages 3–8 in June–July.
Beyond preschool, Learning for Life Education operates an elementary microschool/learning pod for homeschool families (K–3). The pod meets Tuesday–Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and provides instruction aligned with Kentucky standards, along with report cards, portfolios, and documentation to support homeschool records.
Additional offerings include Stay and Play, PNO: Kids Club, Craft Lab, Ukulele for Littles, consultation, and teacher education. The program is CPR/First Aid certified and organizes frequent family events and field trips. Learning for Life Education is led by Miss Kara, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and Education and has over 20 years of experience.
