HCS Head Start

HCS Head Start, founded in 1965 and based in Springfield, MA, is a multi-service agency providing comprehensive early childhood education and family support across Western Massachusetts. The organization prepares preschool children for kindergarten through part-day programs at no cost to eligible families and a full-day option for eligible parents who are working or enrolled in school full time, with fees ranging from a sliding scale to full tuition. Its centers are fully licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and serve communities including Holyoke, Chicopee, Springfield, and surrounding towns.

Beyond the classroom, HCS Head Start offers health and nutrition services, mental health supports, parenting and healthy relationship programs, and financial education.
