About
Canterbury Creek Farm School, founded in 1975 and based in Ada, Michigan, is a nature- and play-based preschool and young fives program serving the Greater Grand Rapids area. Set on an 11-acre working farm, the school serves children ages 3–6 in multi-age classes that integrate early academic skills with hands-on learning indoors and outdoors. Children care for farm animals such as horses, cows, goats, sheep, an alpaca, pigs, and chickens, ride horses, explore nature trails, and play across two schoolhouses and three playgrounds.
Program options include preschool classes offered 2, 3, or 5 days per week in three-hour morning or afternoon sessions. The young fives program runs five days a week in three-hour sessions for children who will be 5 or turn 5 by May 1. Seasonal offerings include one-week Summer Farm Camp with three-hour daily sessions and a Kindergarten Prep Camp. Canterbury Creek has been owned and operated by Nicole and Riley Turchetti since 2015.
