About
Nativity Early Learning Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota, provides early education and out-of-school care for children aged 33 months to 12 years. Operating for over 30 years, the center offers a Full Day Preschool and an Afterschool Program for Nativity School students in grades K–5, along with School Release Days, Afterschool Enrichment, and a Summer Camp featuring field trips and varied activities. Programs use a research-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports social-emotional, physical, language, cognitive, and academic readiness, with religious education and community engagement integrated into the philosophy.
NELC maintains low teacher-to-child ratios and is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services and follows health and safety standards, including a peanut- and nut-free policy. All teachers are Rule #3 certified, trained in Early Childhood Education practices, maintain CPR and First Aid certifications, and receive Abusive Head Trauma prevention training. Parent participation is encouraged through field-trip chaperoning, classroom support, parent breakfasts, and guest reading. The center’s experienced staff and structured, safe environment support children’s growth and prepare preschoolers for kindergarten while providing reliable care for school-age students.
