Upper Room KC’s Early Learning Center is a Missouri state-licensed child care and early education program in Kansas City, MO, licensed since 2020 and serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The center is state-accredited and participates in a Pre-K cooperative that prepares students for a smooth transition into kindergarten. A new $2 million facility is scheduled to open in 2026 at 5931 Swope Parkway on the Covenant Presbyterian Church campus.
Programs are age- and developmentally appropriate, with dedicated spaces for infants and Pre-K. The curriculum supports language, communication, cognitive, creative, and physical development. Staff members are trained and certified in CPR and first aid, and enrollment includes nutritious meals and snacks.
Upper Room KC’s Early Learning Center emphasizes affordability and supports working families by assisting those who may qualify for state childcare subsidies. Upon reopening, operating hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
