Christian Schools of Springfield is a Christ-centered, coeducational school in Springfield, MO, and a ministry of Baptist Temple. Founded in 1963 under the direction of Dr. Harry Vickery, with its first graduating class in 1972, the school has served thousands of students in Greene County for more than six decades. CSOS provides programs for children from age two through 12th grade, including preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle school, and high school.
Instruction is delivered from a Biblical, Christ-centered perspective with emphasis on reading, writing, mathematics, critical thinking, strong study habits, Christian character, and disciplined learning. Academic offerings include English, social studies, mathematics, science, Bible, foreign language, art, computer technology, and health and physical education, along with advanced courses in geometry, calculus, chemistry, and biology. Students also have opportunities for physical development and participation in athletics such as football, basketball, baseball, bowling, soccer, and track and field.
The school is strongly academic in emphasis, orthodox in doctrine, conservative in approach, and a member of the Missouri Association of Christian Schools and the American Association of Christian Schools. Christian Schools of Springfield admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin.
