About
Montessori Lab School at Grand Center is an independent Montessori school in the Grand Center neighborhood of St. Louis, MO, founded in 2014. The school serves children ages 15 months to 12 years through a continuum of programs: Young Children’s Community (15 months–3 years), Children’s House (3–6), and Elementary (6–12), with Extended Care available. Its curriculum follows the Montessori method with an emphasis on the development of the whole child, fostering personal responsibility, critical thinking, resilience, emotional intelligence, and respect for others.
The Lab School operates under the Montessori Training Center of St. Louis, an affiliate of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), which upholds the educational standards established by Dr. Maria Montessori. The school prioritizes a culturally and economically diverse community and provides ongoing parent education and outreach to support families.
Prospective families are invited to observe classrooms and schedule tours to learn more about the school’s programs and learning environments. The mission is to enrich lives and strengthen communities by sharing the potential of Montessori education.
