About
Salem Methodist Preschool & Childcare (SMCPCC) in Eastover, North Carolina, provides licensed early childhood care and education for children ages six weeks to five years. As the early childhood ministry of Salem Methodist Church, the center holds a GS-110 license and maintains a nondiscriminatory admissions and operating policy.
The program emphasizes hands-on learning, social development, and character formation. Infants through age two follow a teacher-developed, theme-based curriculum, while three- and four-year-olds use the Abeka curriculum. Children participate in weekly chapel led by Pastor Gil Wise and join monthly “Read to Me” sessions in partnership with the Cumberland County Public Library.
Facilities include multiple classrooms, two playgrounds, and shared access to the church’s Family Life Enrichment Center. Safety and quality measures include top sanitation and fire ratings, a monitored fire alarm and security system, and staff who complete childcare background checks as well as CPR and First Aid certifications.
SMCPCC’s daily schedule offers opportunities to create, explore, and build problem-solving and interpersonal skills through first-hand experiences. Families can contact the center for enrollment and program details.
