Christ Church Preschool is a play-based early childhood program in Raleigh, North Carolina, located at Christ Church on East Edenton Street. The school supports the development of the whole child—spiritual, intellectual, social-emotional, and physical—through age-appropriate materials and meaningful experiences led by caring, qualified teachers. Programs run from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM, with optional Early Arrival starting at 8:30 and a Stay and Play option.
Classes are offered for Baby, Young Toddler, Older Toddler, Two’s, Three’s (4 or 5 days), and Fours/PreK (5 days). Typical class sizes and staffing include 8 children/2 teachers (Baby), 12/3 (Toddlers), 12/2 (Two’s), 13/2 (Three’s), and 15/2 (Fours/PreK). The curriculum blends teacher-directed and child-initiated activities and includes language and cognitive development; social and emotional learning; gross and fine motor skills; art; music and movement; circle and story time; learning centers and outdoor play; science and discovery; sign language; chapel and Godly Play; plus special visitors and field trips.
The staff collaborates with families, the church community, and the preschool board to meet each child’s needs in a safe, nurturing environment. Families are invited to schedule a tour and request an application.
