About
Clemmons Moravian Church Preschool, founded in 1977 in Clemmons, NC, is a church-based, half-day early childhood program serving children ages 1–6. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate and organized into thematic units that support social, emotional, physical, academic, and spiritual growth. The preschool offers flexible, a‑la‑carte scheduling for 1’s, 2’s, 3’s, and Pre‑K 4’s, with options for Tuesday/Thursday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Monday–Thursday, or five days per week. Families may choose 8 a.m.–12 p.m., 9 a.m.–12 p.m., or 9 a.m.–1 p.m., in compliance with the state’s four‑hour daily limit.
Daily routines include peer interaction, outdoor play (weather permitting), and a provided snack adjusted for allergies. All children attend Music 1–2 times per week and a weekly Movement class. Pre‑K and Transitional Kindergarten students also receive Spanish and a STEM class. The Transitional Kindergarten (Readiness) class meets five days a week from 9 a.m.–1 p.m., is led by a licensed elementary teacher, and is designed for children preparing for or delaying entry into kindergarten, with objectives aligned to early literacy and math.
The program emphasizes the whole child, fostering positive self-image, respect for others, and age-appropriate kindergarten readiness within a supportive, faith-based environment.
