Northeast Family Center, based in Lincoln, NE, is a community-based nonprofit serving youth and families in northeast Lincoln. The organization operates an Early Learning Center for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, offering developmentally appropriate activities and full-day preschool and pre-K classes that support kindergarten readiness. Through its Community Learning Centers, it provides before-, after-, and summer-school programs aligned with school learning objectives, enriches academic growth, promotes youth development, and offers opportunities for students to plan for the future. NFC also provides family support through parenting education and strengthens connections among children, parents, and schools to reduce unhealthy risk behaviors. The center aims to make programming accessible to residents regardless of income. Northeast Family Center collaborates with partners including Lincoln Littles, Lincoln Community Learning Centers, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln Public Schools, the University of Nebraska, and United Way to meet community needs.
