About
A Child’s Garden, founded in 1971, is an accredited preschool in Albuquerque, New Mexico, located on the campus of First Presbyterian Church and operating in a non-faith-based environment. As the first preschool in New Mexico to earn accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and a Five Star program with the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department, it upholds high standards in early childhood education. Approximately 140 children attend daily, with hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. The program emphasizes a whole-child approach with a play-based, emergent, hands-on, relationship-centered curriculum that supports social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. A highly qualified and diverse teaching staff provides consistent guidance and care. Offerings include preschool classes and seasonal/summer programs. Families may schedule tours by appointment, and enrollment is managed through a waitlist with online registration and fee payment available.
