UNLV/CSUN Preschool in Las Vegas, NV, is a model inclusive early childhood program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Located in the Lynn Bennett Early Childhood Education Center, it serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years old on a year-round schedule. Enrollment is available to families of UNLV students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding campus community.
The program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 1994 and is rated 5 stars by QRIS. Its inclusive approach is led by a collaborative team of professionals who use observation, interaction, and well-planned activities to support each child’s development.
Registration requires a birth certificate and immunization records. Families may join a waiting list at birth, with eligibility to enroll beginning at 6 weeks of age. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with an option to extend to 6:00 p.m. by approved schedule change.
UNLV/CSUN Preschool supports research activities that inform early childhood practice and are reviewed through the UNLV Institutional Review Board. The center is planning an expansion to significantly increase capacity, with a goal of serving approximately 350–400 children annually.
