Saint Albert the Great Child Development Center is an early childhood program in Reno, NV, established in 1997 and located at 1259 St. Alberts Drive. The center offers a warm, safe, play-based, child-centered environment aligned with NAEYC developmentally appropriate practices. Its curriculum spans pre-math, science, art, music, language, creative expression, dramatic play, and gross and fine motor development, with socialization as a daily focus. Instruction balances child-directed exploration and teacher-guided activities, with opportunities for individual, small-group, and large-group learning. The mission is to foster intellectual, creative, social, emotional, and physical growth while building self-confidence and a positive self-image. The program reflects the needs and goals of children and families and uses differentiated instruction to support diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds. Operations meet regulations set by Washoe County Social Services, the Reno Fire Department, and the Washoe County Health Department. Families are encouraged to tour the facility before enrollment. Leadership includes Director Kristin Mareno, Program Director Jen Peapealalo, and Assistant Director Debbie Hamon. Center hours are Monday through Friday, 7 am to 6 pm.
