About
Small Strides South Meadows is a privately owned, 4‑Star QRIS preschool and infant toddler nursery in Reno, NV, and one of three Small Strides locations serving the Reno–Sparks community. Founded in 2008 by Reno native Ryan Nicole Putzer, the program provides early education and care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
The South Meadows center features six classrooms organized by age group with developmentally appropriate materials and a capacity for 96 students. Low student‑to‑teacher ratios and a blend of structured curriculum and play‑based experiences support physical, intellectual, creative, social, and emotional development. The school emphasizes a welcoming, respectful environment where children can progress at their own pace, with holistic safety practices for students and staff.
Small Strides maintains a continual 4‑Star QRIS rating and aligns its methods with current early childhood research and best practices. Families will find age‑specific programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at the South Meadows campus, delivered by experienced educators in classrooms tailored to each developmental stage.
