About
Diane Lindner-Goldberg Child Care Institute (CCI) is a licensed, NAEYC-accredited early childhood program in Hempstead, NY, located at Hofstra University’s Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center. CCI serves children from eight weeks to five years old, including a pre-K classroom, and operates year-round, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The program provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and accommodates dietary restrictions and food allergies.
CCI emphasizes developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning that supports social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Children are grouped by age and benefit from an enclosed playground, indoor play areas, and supervised walks on Hofstra’s arboretum-designated campus. As part of the Saltzman Community Services Center, families can access free evaluations and services delivered by graduate students in affiliated clinics, including psychological evaluations and services, literacy support, and speech, language, and hearing diagnostics.
Recognitions include NAEYC reaccreditation in 2023, a 4-star rating from QUALITYstarsNY in 2025, designation as a Breastfeeding-Friendly Child Care Center by the New York State Department of Health’s CACFP, and status as a CACFP Champion Center. CCI is also a Child Care Aware preferred provider for military and navy families.
