About
Sunny Side Childcare is a licensed child care and preschool provider based in Lithopolis, Ohio, serving families in southeast Ohio for more than 13 years. The ODJFS-licensed and insured center operates two locations—Lithopolis and Lancaster—and offers full-day childcare, preschool readiness, and before- and after-school care. A Bloom-Carroll bus stop is located in front of the Lithopolis center, and staff manage bus drop-off and pick-up for school-age children.
Educators maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Recognition, and Communicable Disease Recognition and Prevention, with annual training in early childhood education. Families stay informed through the Brightwheel app, receiving real-time updates with photos, videos, attendance, lesson plans, and direct messaging with teachers.
Sunny Side Childcare is an Ohio Food Licensed facility serving breakfast with fresh fruit, hot oatmeal, and cereal, along with age-appropriate afternoon snacks. For children ages five and older, the summer program features director-selected field trips. Facility tours are available by appointment. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
