Miss Helen's Private School

Miss Helen’s Private School, founded in 1954 in Tulsa, OK, provides preschool through fifth grade education for the greater Tulsa area at its campus at 4849 South Mingo Road. The school offers a structured, year-round program with age-group pods: Sunshine Kids (age 3), Clover Club (age 4), Rainbow Dreamers (age 5 not yet eligible for kindergarten), full-day kindergarten classes (Busy Bears and Lucky Lions) aligned with surrounding district reading and math standards, and Elementary Owls (grades 1–5) organized as Snowy, Eagle, Screech, and Horned Owls in multi-age groupings.

All classes are led by degreed educators, supported by ongoing professional development and lead teachers for each pod. Faculty are contracted for the full school year to promote continuity. Tuition includes extended hours from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, a daily well-balanced lunch, and two snacks.

Recognized locally for longstanding quality, Miss Helen’s has been named Best of the Best by the Greater Tulsa Reporter since 2000 and a Parent Pick by Tulsa Kids since 1995.
