About
Oak Street Child Development Center, founded in 1991 in Eugene, Oregon, is a certified, NAEYC-accredited early childhood education and child care center serving infants through pre-kindergarten. Located in downtown Eugene’s Historic Market District, the center operates Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m., and offers age-specific classrooms and outdoor areas that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth through play-based learning.
The program follows a developmental philosophy that promotes positive self-esteem, self-discipline, and healthy peer interactions. Services include infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classrooms, with family communication supported through Procare Parent Engagement.
Oak Street Child Development Center has been board-operated since 2002 in partnership with Busy Barn, Inc., the parent association. The center is led by Director Cindy Bellamy, an experienced early childhood professional, alongside an established leadership and teaching team.
Prospective families can schedule individual tours to observe daily activities and meet with leadership. After touring, families may join the enrollment wait list; a non-refundable fee applies.
