STEAM Boat Academy is an early childhood education center in East Providence, Rhode Island, serving children from 6 weeks to 5 years. The school integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics into inquiry-based, play-based, Reggio-inspired learning. Programs include Infant (6 weeks–18 months, 1:4 ratio), Toddler (18–36 months, 1:6), Preschool (3–4 years, 1:8), and Pre-K (4–5 years, 1:10), designed to meet children developmentally and support whole-child growth. Lead educators hold degrees in early childhood education and complete ongoing professional development.
With more than fifteen years of experience, the Academy features STEAM-rich spaces, small class sizes, and documentation of learning through portfolios and journals. Family partnership is central, with daily digital updates, open classroom observation, and monthly family learning nights. Safety measures include state licensing, NAEYC accreditation, keypad-secured entry, camera-monitored classrooms, background-checked staff, and comprehensive emergency protocols. The center operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
