About
Rice Village Childcare Center provides full- and part-time early childhood care and education in Houston, TX, with three locations: Rice Village and two Museum District Childcare Center sites on Caroline Street and San Jacinto Street. Open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the centers serve children from 6 weeks through preschool age across dedicated infant, toddler, two-year-old, and preschool classrooms.
Programs use The Creative Curriculum for Preschool, a research-based framework that emphasizes exploration, discovery, and early exposure to S.T.E.A.M. concepts through play. Children ages 2 and up are assessed three times per year, and teachers hold parent-teacher conferences twice annually to review progress and set goals. The preschool program includes the Letterland phonics curriculum along with language arts, math, science, and art activities.
Family communication is supported through the Brightwheel platform for real-time updates and daily reports, including meals, diapers, naps, observations, medications, and incident tracking. Families can schedule in-person or virtual tours and enroll at any of the three Houston locations.
