YWCA of Lubbock is a nonprofit in Lubbock, Texas serving women, children, and families across West Texas through childcare, youth development, health, and community programs. The organization operates a licensed childcare and preschool center with 28 classrooms, staffed by CDA‑credentialed infant and toddler teachers and preschool teachers with associate or bachelor’s degrees in Early Education. Its Frog Street curriculum aligns with Texas Pre‑K Guidelines and emphasizes literacy, school readiness, and whole‑child development. Families can choose full‑time care Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m., or Parent’s Day Out options, with financial assistance available through CCS.
Beyond early learning, YWCA of Lubbock offers YWCAre After‑School Care, camps, and the Community Youth Development (CYD) program, as well as initiatives such as AMEND LBK and BLOOM LBK. Health and wellness services include the Women’s Health Initiative and CPR classes. YWCA of Lubbock holds Praesidium Accreditation for abuse prevention and is a Guidestar Member. Its mission centers on eliminating racism and empowering women, and it hosts community events such as the Father Daughter Dance, Women of Excellence, and Cocktails & Couture.
