Westhampton Day School is a Christian early childhood and elementary enrichment program in Richmond, Virginia, established in 1953. Operating as a mission of Westhampton United Methodist Church, it offers a full-day curriculum for approximately 180 students and employs more than 40 educators; 94% of faculty hold degrees, and many are licensed teachers with high staff retention. Programs include two-year-old, three-year-old, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and an After School program for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Instruction follows Virginia’s Foundation Blocks for Early Learning. The school is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and has been nationally accredited through the National Accreditation Commission of the Association for Early Learning Leaders since 2015. The environment emphasizes whole-child development in a nurturing, safe, and mutually respectful setting. The After School program offers supervised homework time, snacks, indoor activities, enrichment, and outdoor play.
